What’s the first thing you think of when you hear “Linkedin”?
For me, it’s the constant erosion of value and the slippery nature of product features that seem to appear and disappear at random.
Once upon a time, I was a paid “premium” subscriber. There were some nifty features, and it was an OK experience. Then, I realised that I wasn’t always getting the features I thought I was. So I cancelled my subscription.
I am reminded daily by in-product marketing how wonderful and helpful the features of premium are. Some of these would be very handy indeed, and I feel their absence frequently (having once had them to to hand).
But I can’t upgrade.
I just don’t trust Linkedin any more, so I thought “why should I pay these guys when they can’t commit to a deal?”
So for now I remain with the plebeian masses and try to make the most of it:-)
