Building a boat from tree felling to launch in 7 years

I started Googling resources about building wooden boats and came across the Acorn to Arabella project. I was fairly immediately hooked, and am posting here simply to say they’re amazing people and that a boat that started with a tree planted by Steve’s great-grandfather, has, after seven years, just been launched and is now in a harbour in Massachusetts.

Steve doesn’t know how to sail, but he’s a fast learner. I’d encourage you to subscribe to follow his adventures finishing the boat and eventually setting out to sea:-)
