Will ChatGPT kill Google search?

So here’s a question for #ai and Google #adwords #ppc experts out there.

Based solely on gut feeling, pretty soon no one will use Google to search anymore. I find I’m almost always starting a query in chatGPT. Of course I’m a sample of one, but Google just makes life harder, giving me more work to do while GPT helps me get to the bottom of the issue.

So, if everyone stops using Google, the value of clicks is going to crash, which means Adwords will quickly become obsolete.
If that happens, a whole gynormous digital marketing services industry is going to find itself with a lot of free time.

So what does that mean for brands? If it turns out that the future is British Airways’ AI agents negotiating with my AI agents, who is going to monetise that? Will it even be an industry?

So what’s next?
