Hoping to locate a junior graphic artist based near Exeter for a short role scanning pages from an artist’s notebooks? This is a work-from-home project; pick up a box of books and bring them home to scan on your home scanner. In all, there are aproximately 4000 pages to scan.
The idea is to scan the books of watercolour and pencil sketches and clean up the scans (crop, enhance, whitepoint), then number/organise them and upload to the server.
The scans themselves will eventually end up on the web so we are NOT talking about huge, repro-ready 300dpi/80Meg scans. We would agree the details of this (and run a test to check we understand each other) before starting in earnest but I’m guessing that to support a zoom-in feature we’d be looking at long side in the region 1980px so there won’t be a huge wait for each page to process.
If you know of someone who could help with this, could I ask you to please put details here: https://donkeyontheedge.com/contact.html
I’ve never commissioned work like this before so have no idea of what acceptable rates are for this sort of thing. If you could include any guidance on that front that would be great.
Thank you:-)
