dug So I was in Manchester yesterday at #campdigital which was extremely lovely (some thoughts outside this walled garden: https://goodlookslikethis.com/camp-digital-2026.html).
That was interesting but what this post it about is being able to vote:-)
I left it late and when it finally clicked that I wasn’t going to be able to vote as I was away, I called for help and a very supportive person at the Scottish electoral thingy explained that if I could fill in the form, sign it, scan it (lol), and email it back to her I could vote by proxy.
Not something I’ve done before but the process was painless and I received all the necessary papers in time and so as I was down in Manchester being amazed my wife put two ballots in the urn.
Good system, and another example of civil servants not throwing the rulebook at you and instead making every effort to help:-)
