Sending a telegram

Have just sent a telegram for the first time in a very long time.
The Western Union service was discontinued in 2006, but a company has taken it over and now delivers price-per-word short messages on thin paper via special delivery bikes.
I thought hey, every wedding needs a telegram, I wonder how long the service will carry on?
