Meta and the no-assholes rule

Just read another post about how Facebook is doing something terrible. Yeah. Whatever…
For the record, I deleted all Facebook/Meta apps off my devices back in 2017 and don’t use anything that is a fruit of that poisoned tree (finding avoiding React.js particularly difficult these days).
But am wondering if Meta gives us a great example of the terminal state of the “no assholes rule”. An old boss described the theory (haven’t read the book) as building on a concept that “assholes scale”. Shitty behaviour is rewarded with success and boom, you have a lot more shitty behaviour. So basically if your founder and CEO behaves poorly, then eventually, the whole company behaves poorly. Or something like that.
Anyways, Facebook keeps telling us who they are. Maybe we should listen…
