Best British Blog: donkey makes the shortlist

So the full result of the Guardian’s Best British Blog competition is up and it turns out the donkey made the shortlist. Not the £1,000, not the £100, but a mention in a national newspaper alongside Scary Duck, blogjam, LinkMachineGo and the rest. I’ll take that:-)

Simon Waldman’s judges reckoned the duck was magnificent - well-written, focused and insightful, which is hard to argue with. Meanwhile, I’m just pleased this whimsical personal/tech blog got a look in.

Added much later: the picture is the Guardian page as it still looks today, Hong Kong duck and all. The original was, of course, a lot uglier. Nice that it’s still online.
