In a single day, we can move between worlds:
One where people offer calm presence in moments of crisis.
One where fear and suspicion fill the air.
I’m ending today angry, sad, and deeply grateful — all at once. Grateful for the people who stand beside others in their hardest moments and grateful for the workers of the NHS who for the second time save my family’s life.
I’m also reminded of how much work remains to bring that same compassion outside the walls of the hospital.
