A broken phone and no banking

So I finally dropped my phone one too many times and the camera stopped focusing. A little gentle tapping and rubbing and it seemed to start working again so forgot about it. Then yesterday had some urgent banking to do and noticed FaceID wasn’t working.

During the course of the day I gradually realised how impossible this was going to be to sort out. I can’t generate codes so I can’t use the website, there are of course no branches to visit, and all of my voice/phone banking details are lost in the sands of time. Luckily I still have plastic cards which give me access to cash if I need it and payment in stores (unless I’m asked to confirm a payment).

Guessing this must be a relatively common situation but, am feeling surprisingly unprepared. So today is going to be fun…
